Now this is retro computing once again, and I always love to get back to it. I have used the process described in my previous article https://astr0baby.wordpress.com/2017/04/27/pkgsrc-on-tru64-5-1b/ and used the pkgsrc/sysutils/cfengine2 environment to build cfengine2 like so:
===================================== ---- OSF1 tru64 V5.1 2650 alpha ---- ===================================== # cd /usr/pkgsrc/sysutils/cfengine2 # env CC=/data/gcc477/bin/gcc CXX=/data/gcc447/bin/g++ CFLAGS=-pthread bmake install
Here is the content of the pkgsrc/sysuitls/cfengine2
===================================== ---- OSF1 tru64 V5.1 2650 alpha ---- ===================================== drwxrwxr-x 6 600 125 8192 Jun 15 15:36 . drwxrwxr-x 577 600 125 24576 May 17 2014 .. drwxrwxr-x 2 600 125 8192 Apr 16 2014 CVS -rw-rw-r-- 1 600 125 383 Dec 22 2002 DESCR -rw-rw-r-- 1 600 125 817 May 3 2005 MESSAGE -rw-r--r-- 1 600 125 1039 Feb 13 2014 Makefile -rw-r--r-- 1 600 125 1490 Mar 12 2014 PLIST -rw-r--r-- 1 600 125 430 May 10 2010 distinfo drwxrwxr-x 3 600 125 8192 Dec 31 2005 files drwxrwxr-x 3 600 125 8192 May 10 2010 patches drwxr-xr-x 17 root 125 8192 Jun 15 18:29 work
You will need to have OpenSSL/DB4 mainly for this to build. Further below is the actual Makefile that gets generated my the bmake process, which I have modified slightly after some minor errors to have cfengine2 build completed.
What libraries are the binaries linked against ?
# OSF1 tru64 V5.1 2650 alpha # ldd cfagent Main => cfagent libcfengine.so.1 => /usr/pkg/lib/libcfengine.so.1 libdb4-4.8.so.8 => /usr/pkg/lib/libdb4-4.8.so.8 libpthread.so => /usr/shlib/libpthread.so librt.so => /usr/shlib/librt.so libm.so => /usr/shlib/libm.so libmach.so => /usr/shlib/libmach.so libexc.so => /usr/shlib/libexc.so libc.so => /usr/shlib/libc.so libgcc_s.so.1 => /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1 Main => cfservd libcfengine.so.1 => /usr/pkg/lib/libcfengine.so.1 libdb4-4.8.so.8 => /usr/pkg/lib/libdb4-4.8.so.8 libpthread.so => /usr/shlib/libpthread.so librt.so => /usr/shlib/librt.so libm.so => /usr/shlib/libm.so libmach.so => /usr/shlib/libmach.so libexc.so => /usr/shlib/libexc.so libc.so => /usr/shlib/libc.so libgcc_s.so.1 => /usr/lib/libgcc_s.so.1
Here is the cfagent output
